Plus he’s just such a lovable little goofball. So Kenji was a pleasant surprise, to say the least. Regardless of the reasoning, fans are fiercely loyal and defensive of their waifu/husbando. Country boys really don’t get enough recognition in shounen. These assets can range from that character’s super or magical powers, their character growth arc, personality, or perhaps more physical facets of their character. Few questions related to anime are as important or hotly-debated as the ever-popular topic of, “Who are the best waifu or husbando?” Fans the world over love to debate and discuss who their favorites are, and everyone has varying criteria for what will land a given character on their list.
